Craigslist v2.0

Craiggers solves the Craigslist UI problem

Craigslist is a great resource for finding housing, roommates, jobs, pets, and pretty much anything that a person can sell. It’s also a great place to post a Missed Connection. But if you’ve spent any time on Craigslist, then you know how unfriendly the UI can be. The layout isn’t pretty, and there’s a lot of clicking around involved to get to the information you’re looking for. Strangely enough, despite its popularity, it seems that Craigslist has never really been updated from its 1996 format. Luckily, Craiggers is here to make your Craigslist experience everything you’ve always wanted it to be.

Craiggers, whose slogan is “Craigslist data, better than Craigslist,” really does an excellent job displaying Craigslist posts in a more intuitive way. You can drill down to the information you’re looking for on one page instead of having to click around all over the place. When you want to display a different category of information you simply select it from the menu on the left side of the screen, and it pops up. You can sort the posts by Most Recent or Most Relevant, and select whether to only view posts that have images. You can also view posts from neighboring cities and states, all on the same page! We really can’t stress enough how much better it is having everything you’re looking for on a single page.

The only drawback we’ve found so far is that some of the posts don’t seem to display correctly. If they’re too long or unusually formatted, it appears that Craiggers does not show the entire post. But all in all, that’s a reasonable trade-off for all the other ways that Craiggers does things right. So go ahead and give Craiggers a try the next time you need to find something on Craigslist. You will never go back to regular Craigslist again!
